For the Website

From TorontoMathWiki

This page is dedicated to creating new and exciting content for the new Math Department Website. There are two main sections on the new website that any content placed here might be added into:

- In the News: this page contains news stories featuring the people in our department. Stories feature things like students and professors creating a team and running in the Toronto Marathon, a student being featured in the Toronto Star for testing out the new Rubix Sphere, faculty being honoured by the CMS, and similar

- Math Fun: this page contains math puzzles, math images, math cartoons, links to interesting math website and other fun math trivia

What I'm looking for:

CONTENT!!!

I'd like to fill the above pages with stories from the staff, students, post-docs and faculty of the department. What I'm asking for here is your help. Submit any stories you'd like the rest of the world to see to the New Stories page or email them to me directly at pamb@math.utoronto.ca (works best for images or formatted stories) and I'll pick the best and put them up on the new site. All content submitted either on the wiki or to my email may not make it onto the website but I will try to accommodate as much as possible.

A few rules though: please don't submit pictures and stories of people other than yourself unless you have the express permission of ALL the people in the picture/mentioned in the story (any content submitted that is inappropriate or contains information not authorized by all parties involved will be removed), images submitted must follow copyright (original work is preferred) and any puzzles/riddles/trivia must have the answer submitted to me (through email is fine).

And remember, stories do NOT have to be math based, merely involving people from the department is fine.

Go to New Stories to start adding and I look forward to reading your stories!
